Academy Prizes & Honours

Recognition earned through participation, creativity, and contribution

Within the Footnote Friend Literary Academy, recognition is earned — not through speed or volume, but through presence, insight, and care.

Throughout the year, members may receive digital honours, seasonal recognition, and special prizes curated by the High Curator. These honours are awarded selectively and reflect the spirit of the Academy rather than guaranteed outcomes.

🌟 WEEKLY RECOGNITION (NO PRIZES)

Weekly Shout-Outs

  • The Page Turner - Awarded for active, thoughtful participation throughout the week.  (Additional 20 house points)

  • The Creative Spark - Awarded for imaginative or visually striking weekly challenge submissions. (Additional 20 house points)

Weekly shout-outs celebrate active participation and creative engagement within the Academy. These recognitions are informal and rotate week to week. They do not include physical prizes but serve as acknowledgement within the community.

🌕 MONTHLY AWARDS (DIGITAL HONOURS)

Monthly Academy Awards

Awarded at the end of each month alongside the Luminary House.

  • The Annotator’s Mark - Awarded for exceptional annotation practice demonstrated across the month. (Additional 30 house points)

  • The Insight Seeker - Awarded for thoughtful, observant, and engaging discussion contributions. (Additional 30 house points)

  • The Guiding Light - Awarded for kindness, encouragement, and positive community impact. (Additional 30 house points)

Monthly awards recognise standout individual contributions across annotation, discussion, and community spirit. Recipients receive a permanent digital badge marking their achievement.

👑 END-OF-YEAR HONOURS (THE BIG ONES)

House Student of the Year

(One recipient per House)

House Student of the Year is the Academy’s highest individual honour. One member from each House is recognised annually for embodying their House’s essence through consistent participation, insight, and contribution.

Recipients receive a digital badge and a book from their Amazon Wishlist (or equivalent).

🏆 The House Cup

The House Cup is awarded annually to the House with the highest cumulative points across the year. 

Recipients receive a digital badge and a book from their Amazon Wishlist (or equivalent).

 

Prizes and honours may vary from year to year. Physical prizes are curated at the discretion of the High Curator and may change based on availability.
