At Footnote Friend, every order is curated with love — from handpicked books to thoughtfully assembled bundles and merch. We want you to feel confident shopping with us, so here’s how refunds and returns work.
📚 Returns & Refunds
We accept returns and provide refunds in the following situations:
• Damaged or faulty items
If your order arrives damaged or with a manufacturing fault, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. Photos and your order information will help us sort a replacement or refund quickly.
• Incorrect item received
If we’ve made an error (it happens to the best of us!), reach out within 7 days so we can organise a return and send the correct item at no additional cost.
✨ Non-Refundable Item
Only Custom Annotated Books are non-refundable.
These are personalised and created specifically for you, and because of the time, labour, and customisation involved, they cannot be returned or exchanged.
Everything else — curated bundles, bookmarks, stickers, bookish merch, Swiftie products, etc. — can be returned as long as they meet the conditions listed above.
💌 Change of Mind
We do not offer refunds for change of mind, so please check your selections before completing your purchase. If you're unsure about anything, we’re always happy to help before you order.
📦 Shipping Costs
Refunds cover the product cost only.
Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
If a return is approved, the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost unless we’ve made a mistake with the order.
🕒 Processing Time
Once we receive your returned item and approve the refund, it will be processed within 5–7 business days back to your original payment method.
