About Footnote Friend
Footnote Friend is a New Zealand-based small business offering annotated books, reading accessories and bookish gifts.
Throughout these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Footnote Friend.
By using this website, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your country or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use this site.
Products
We aim to display our products, descriptions and photographs as accurately as possible.
Because many of our products are handmade, individually prepared or photographed under different lighting conditions, slight variations in colour, placement or appearance may occur.
Annotated Books are individually hand-annotated and therefore every copy is unique.
Orders
Once an order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or limit any order where necessary, including where:
A product is unavailable.
Pricing or listing errors have occurred.
Fraudulent or suspicious activity is suspected.
We are unable to fulfil the order.
If payment has already been processed for a cancelled order, a full refund will be issued.
Pricing
All prices are shown in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless displayed otherwise through currency conversion tools.
While we strive for accuracy, pricing errors may occasionally occur. If an incorrect price has been displayed, we reserve the right to cancel the order and provide a full refund.
Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or local charges imposed by their country.
Annotated Books
Annotated Books are personalised, handcrafted products created specifically for each customer.
Every annotation reflects personal thoughts, reactions and reading experiences. These comments are subjective and intended to enhance the shared reading experience rather than provide literary analysis or factual interpretation.
Due to their personalised nature, Annotated Books cannot be returned for change of mind. Please refer to our Refund & Returns Policy for full details.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, branding, product descriptions, photographs, graphics and logos, remains the property of Footnote Friend unless otherwise stated.
You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content without prior written permission.
The books sold by Footnote Friend remain the intellectual property of their respective authors and publishers.
