The Footnote Friend Literary Academy

The Footnote Friend Literary Academy is an always-open digital reading community designed for readers who want more from their reading life—without pressure, performance, or overwhelm.

Each month, members read a shared book together and engage through thoughtful discussion prompts, gentle weekly challenges, and a shared House system that brings structure and connection to the experience.

Every member belongs to one of four Houses—Luna, Bloom, Nova, or Sage—each reflecting a different way of reading and engaging with stories. Houses are equal in opportunity, and recognition is based on participation rather than numbers.

Membership includes access to monthly discussion prompts, weekly photographable challenges, House leaderboards, and ongoing recognition through Academy honours. Participation is always optional and designed to enhance your reading experience, not compete with it.

The Academy is open year-round, and members may join at any time.
